Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Valley Adult School’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) class provides assistance to students preparing for the GED test or working towards a high school diploma, but requiring extra help in math, grammar, or reading.  We also offer help for students attempting to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE), or for those just wanting to brush up on their basic math,  grammar , or reading skills.

The ABE program is an open ended independent study class with some direct instruction.  The class work and homework is individualized to each student’s needs and schedule.  The class consists of a combination of instructor led lessons, individualized computer-assisted learning, and homework.

To register for the ABE class please apply ONLINE.  You will need to fill out the ONLINE Registration form to enroll and take the assessment test.    All NEW students MUST complete the assessment test before you can attend the class.
